A Casa do Avô (Grandfather´s House) – Vitor Hugo Matos
The composition of the house’s interior was inspired by Van Gogh’s painting in which he portrays his room.
The series of illustrations was created around the figure of the grandfather and the intergenerational and transversal relationship with his grandson. The compositions were inspired by films and pictures.
Mixed technique was used, cutting and collage of textures and Indian ink. The digital medium was used, adding lines and shadows in the form of text, adding meaning and poetics. Texts by Gaston Gachelard, Italo Calvino, and Fernando Pessoa, among others.
