José O’Neill Teixeira, born in Serpa in 1998.
With the artistic name LACORTEI, he has been creating a portfolio in the field of illustration.
Most of the body of his work goes by collaborating with musicians throughout the last years, creating artwork for music, posters, merch, videos. Fascinated by Gauguin’s work, pop art & culture, vintage memorabilia and grooves, it’s understood that his work is traced with smooth lines but it’s the flat colors that give out the shape of his composition.
For him, texture is emotion.
Studied “Illustration and Graphic Production” at ESAD (Caldas da Rainha) and a specialization in “Digital Illustration” at LSD (Porto).
Won the 2024 edition of “Novos Talentos Fnac”.
