Artur Pastor – Portugal Land of Contrasts
The collection of images in this book is an exhaustive ethnographic inventory that documents agricultural labour, fishing, traditional crafts, markets and fairs, local festivals, industry, architecture, urban and rural landscapes and the people who inhabited them. We are lead on a journey back in time, to a Portugal that survives now only in the memories of those who lived on the other side of the lens of one of photography’s most important figures.

Majericon, a publisher that was founded in late 2016 by Fernando Veiras and Amir-Alexandros Afendras, aims to publish author books and produce other articles that they intend to find in souvenir shops. Maintain a presence in the same spirit that the traveler witnesses in his travels.
