Carolina Céu (1980) developed artistic skills from an early age, but ended up following in her father’s footsteps and studied architecture at the Lusíada University in Lisbon. After several years dedicated to the construction of spaces, she decided to start building, more seriously, the artist who inhabits her.
Her work is based on the constant immersion and overlapping of shapes against the void of a white background. The exploration occurs through diverse techniques and materials such as watercolor, gold leaf and markers. It results into floating compositions full of color.
