Inércia – André Carrilho
Inertia contains, distributed over 150 pages, more than 80 drawings made over two years, portraying countless landscapes touched by the look of André Carrilho on three continents, from the interior of Portugal to the Pacific beaches, from Lisbon to Macau. The author, who has mastered a tool called the computer like no other, decided to return to the basics: paper, inks and drama. They are moments taken from reality, postcards forever fixed in small notebooks now dispersed. They can now continue in progress, overcoming inertia, in a book that also gathers small diary texts (with flavor of salt and other spices).
André Carrilho is an illustrator, cartoonist, animator and caricaturist born in Amadora. He has been awarded more than 30 national and international awards and has participated in collective and individual exhibitions in Portugal, Spain, Brazil, France, Czech Republic, China and the USA.
