Liberdade (Freedom) – Vitor Hugo Matos
The series of illustrations of birds is inspired by the origin of birds and their freedom and how their imposed confinement is often normalized. The illustrations are minimalist and created with cutouts of textures made using different manual techniques.
Vitor Hugo Matos is an Architect and Illustrator born in Porto. He divided his professional experience as a collaborator and author between Porto, Barcelona and Lisbon, where he currently resides. His diverse works in the fields of Architecture, Painting and Illustration have been exhibited in Porto, Archilab-France, Mexico, Barcelona and Lisbon.
His artistic and professional activity revolves around the cognitive-communicative function of Drawing, an instrument for translating imaginary into material.
